Gianni Soglia was born in Belgium in 1976 and has a degree in Applied Arts and Photography. He moved to Paris in 1997 and began his professional career a few years later winning contracts for magazines, fashion catalogues and advertising campaigns. In 2006 he had his first solo exhibition “Armenians in Jerusalem” which was held in London. His first book entitled “Souvenirs pour Mémoire” was published with Cherche Midi Editeurs in 2009 with part of the benefits going to Alzheimer’s research. This work involved taking portraits of celebrities including Charles Aznavour, Gérard Dépardieu and Carla Bruni Sarkozi who all shared a memory they would never want to forget. Selected portraits have been exhibited in Paris, Cran Montana, Cannes and Bahrain. In October 2013 the Cherche Midi Editeurs published the second volume entitled "Souvenirs Souvenirs".
